Our Mission Statement: Peace Action Maine is a voice of education and a center for all people committed to
disarmament and creative responses to conflict.
Principles:
- We strive to involve community members in our decision-making processes and the day-to-day work of the organization.
- We work to promote the skills and abilities of all concerned people to more effectively work on our issues and other
issues of concern to them.
- We seek to be a source of information and inspiration for all who would stand for peace.
We bring to our work a deep and lasting commitment to nonviolence, justice, and the empowerment of all people. Out of this
commitment grows a necessity to educate in a manner that both promotes and models our values.
